Amanda Stoker defends new Cabinet role
Newly appointed Assistant Minister for Women Amanda Stoker has defended against criticism of her new placement saying her opponents “really don’t know very much at all about my commitment to the issue”.
Ms Stoker has been targeted by Twitter users and by Australian of the Year Grace Tame since Prime Minister Scott Morrison appointed her to the position.
She labelled those comments unhelpful, saying “we need to work together and not be trying to tear down anyone who doesn’t fit their short term, hard left political objective.”
