Army ‘necessarily’ called in to Greater Sydney’s COVID ‘battleground’
Media Stable Managing Director Nic Hayes says the ADF being called in to assist with Greater Sydney's COVID compliance is "necessary" to contain the spread of the virus.
"The very few times we bring out the army to do anything ... is when they're deployed for peace keeping services or for foreign battlegrounds," he told Sky News host Peter Gleeson.
"The battleground is right now in our cities, particularly obviously in Sydney where Gladys hasn't kept Sydney safe and is putting the whole of Australia at risk."
