Sky News host Chris Smith says the public will “not cop” Labor’s “catastrophe narrative” amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which could see freedom “delayed or deprived”. “Every member of that National Cabinet had better be aware of this, because they’ll just need to grow a set and accept we must live with this stubborn variant,” Mr Smith said. “The idea that all bets of freedom are off because of rising infection cases in one state does not excuse any of them from keeping their promise.”
