Beijing media ‘attacked’ News Corp over Wuhan lab leak theory: Kenny

Sky News host Chris Kenny says Beijing state-controlled media “attacked” Australia and News Corp for “pursuing the truth” regarding the possibility COVID-19 was leaked from a lab in Wuhan. “It might be a pretty strange concept to Communist controlled state propaganda aims, but the truth, and pursuing the truth, is something we are rather fond of,” Mr Kenny said. It comes after Chinese media released a film criticising Sky News Australia journalist Sharri Markson over her coverage of the Wuhan lab leak theory. According to Mr Kenny, the segment portrayed China as a “hapless victim of our prejudice”. “What this piece neglected to mention is how US President Joe Biden has demanded a comprehensive investigation into what happened in Wuhan,” he said. “Even the World Health Organisation has finally had to admit this theory is plausible and needs a proper probe.”
