Berejiklian denies making executive decision to extend NSW restrictions

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has denied she made an executive decision to extend restrictions for an additional week. According to The Daily Telegraph, the NSW premier failed to consult with senior cabinet colleagues on her recent decision to extend coronavirus restrictions following the emergence of two mystery cases. However, when questioned by the press on Monday the premier denied this was the case. “I get the best advice from the chief medical officer, from the health minister, and we make sure we make the best decisions on behalf of the government for the people of New South Wales,” she said.
