BHP has not gone ‘green’: Matt Canavan

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says it is very important to note “the way” in which mining giant BHP is exiting fossil fuels, as it is not “green”. “If they really, truly believed it was evil and terrible –why don’t they just give it away? “Really, what BHP has done, is just simply got the profits from fossil fuel sales in the future today," Mr Canavan told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “They’re not green, they’re not doing anything particularly benevolent for the climate.”
