Brisbane high school closes after confirmed COVID-19 case
Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath says the state has recorded one new community case of COVID-19 and has announced a high school will be closed. The local case is a 17-year-old who attended Indooroopilly State High School and not much is known about how the student acquired the virus. “We’re treating this as if the young lady was infectious from the 27th, so she’s been in the community and at school for two days,” Ms D’Ath said. The school has notified families and has closed for a deep clean.
