Chant and Hazzard to appear before parliamentary inquiry into COVID response

A parliamentary inquiry investigating the New South Wales government’s handling of the pandemic and the timing of the current Greater Sydney lockdown begins today. NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant and Health Minister Brad Hazzard will be appearing virtually at the inquiry this afternoon. They will be answering questions about the timing of the latest lockdown amid criticism the city did not lock down fast enough. Day two of the inquiry will hear answers from NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell about the vaccination strategy for year 12s and face-to-face learning throughout the pandemic.
