Complacency on coronavirus ‘raises concerns’ during winter

Infectious diseases expert Professor Peter Collignon says transmission of COVID-19 is of concern this winter, especially given people are “more complacent than they were a year ago”. “Equally, I don’t think we’ll probably have another Melbourne situation,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “The only vaccine we’re going to have in numbers for the next couple of months in my view is the AstraZeneca. “We need people vaccinated, so we’ve got to be a bit careful about not over-restricting the AstraZeneca.”
