Former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett says "Daniel Andrews needs to do a Nathan Buckley" and resign from his post as premier and "take a hit for the state". "We're losing people, shops are closed, people can't get jobs; we need a new attitude, we need a new face," he said. "My advice would be - and I'm not sure he'd ever take it - if ever there was a time for an individual to put the interests of the state before his own interests, that time has arrived."
