Elderly Roo Set to Enjoy Twilight Years in Care of Victoria Shelter
An elderly kangaroo, found in a poor way and suffering from arthritis and anemia, has been returning to health at the Red Box Wildlife Shelter, thanks to what the shelter said was days of round-the-clock care. A recent video posted on Facebook shows Pa taking a nap in his yard – a kangaroo-themed pillow allowing him avoid getting dirt in his blind left eye. “Pa is one of the oldest kangaroos we have ever seen. Not many make it to his age,” the shelter said. “He was spotted looking very compromised so needed some help. He has entered his twilight years and like us all, needs a little help with his arthritis and eyesight.” In the last few days, Pa has been munching on grass, looking around in his hut and even enjoying some scratches from carers at the center, in Elphinstone, Victoria.
