Fatal Sydney crash driver to be sentenced today
The driver responsible for the deaths of four children in north-west Sydney is expected to be sentenced today.
Samuel Davidson crashed into Abdullah siblings Antony, aged 13, Angelina, aged 12, and Sienna, aged eight, and their 11-year-old cousin Veronique Sakr in Oatlands in February 2020 when they were on their way to get ice cream.
He pleaded guilty to four counts of manslaughter – admitting he was intoxicated when he lost control of his four-wheel drive.
Mr Davidson faces up to 25 years behind bars, with the families of the victims calling for the maximum possible sentence to be handed down.
