Federal government still holding out hope for ‘nationally consistent approach to hotspots’

Trade Minister Dan Tehan says the federal government is still hopeful the states and territories will come together on a “national hotspot regime” which will assist the nation to open up to the rest of the world. “We haven’t been able to get that from the states and territories but we’re still hoping that over time we might be able to see a national regime out in place,” he told Sky News. “That would be a great thing because as we open up to the rest of the world being able to present a nationally consistent approach to hotspot definitions and how we deal with them will help.”
