Columnist Caroline Di Russo says National Cabinet has been a “complete failure of leadership” at all levels, blasting the core group as a “without prejudice letter that isn’t actually without prejudice”. “There’s been a complete failure of leadership at all levels,” she told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave. “If the federal government hadn’t provided the states with so much ammunition, it would be a lot harder to hide their own stuff-ups behind the stuff-ups of the federal government. “I don’t expect our politicians to be perfect, I just expect them to be decent and the decent thing for them to do is to be upfront and to be transparent with the public because, at the moment, there is a trust deficit between the people and various levels of government.”
