Oregon Homeowner’s Quick Call Leads to Arrest of Suspected Porch Pirate

Police in Beaverton, Oregon, said they quickly apprehended a suspected porch pirate after a Ring doorbell camera captured the incident. Beaverton Police said 36-year-old Wayne Leach of Gladstone was arrested soon after police responded to a homeowner’s call. The package was recovered “along with evidence of other package thefts,” according to police. Leach was charged with identity theft, mail theft, and the unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
