Pro-Trump Protesters Clash with Capitol Police Before Breaking Into Building

Pro-Trump protesters and Capitol Police clashed on the steps of the Washington government building on January 6, before a mob stormed inside. The clashes took place after a rally addressed by President Donald Trump coincided with Congress meeting to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election. At least 13 people were arrested over the siege of the Capitol Building, media reports citing Washington Police said.
