Roadworks halted pending court hearing after felling of 'directions tree'

Work on a Western Highway upgrade has been halted until a Supreme Court hearing, where traditional owners are expected to argue the decision to remove culturally-significant trees contravenes the state’s Aboriginal Heritage Act.
