Smoke From California’s Dixie Fire Visible From Reno, Nevada
The Dixie Fire burning in northern California became the state’s sixth largest wildfire in history, CAL FIRE said on August 5. The National Weather Service warned a wind shift on Thursday night (August 5) and Friday was expected to “bring a major push of smoke from the Dixie Fire into eastern California and western Nevada, with minor contributions from a couple other fires in the Sierra”.
