Steven Miles weighs in on EU-PM exchange
Queensland Deputy Premier Steven Miles has described the European Union’s response to Prime Minister Scott Morrison's comments on the vaccine export ban as “extraordinary”.
“I can’t recall a time before where a world leader has sought to clarify remarks made by an Australian prime minister,” he said.
A spokesperson for the European Union has addressed the vaccine shortfall in Australia pointing out there had been no “new decision to block vaccine exports to Australia."
The prime minister confirmed today in late January the European Union introduced an export ban on vaccines which was broadened later in March
Mr Miles said “it just underlines what the premier and health minister have been saying: how we need open, honest, transparent communication around this vaccine rollout.”
