The world is experiencing a ‘wave of illness’ with the Delta strain: CMO

Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly has urged Australians to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as the world experiences a “wave of illness” related to the Delta strain. Professor Kelly said New South Wales is “clearly” the most affected state in relation to Australia’s battle with local transmission of the strain. “The clear message today is get vaccinated,” he said. “Talk to your GP about your vaccination options right now.”
