Tropical cyclone warnings issued for WA

Authorities have begun issuing warnings for a category two tropical cyclone set to make landfall in Western Australia near popular holiday destinations. West Australians are being warned to prepare for "once in a decade" cyclonic weather, as two major storms bear down on southern parts of the state. Most of the coastline is packed with holiday-makers as the state is currently in its first week of school holidays. Families and tourists have been told to leave the area immediately before torrential rain batters the coast.
