Turnbull is a ‘sideshow’ alongside NSW rural and regional challenges
NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall has dismissed the conversation surrounding Malcolm Turnbull’s dropped nomination for chair of the Net Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board – urging leaders to focus on the state’s recovery.
Asked about the matter today, Mr Marshall said “I’ve never met Malcolm Turnbull, I don’t know the man at all and quite frankly I think the whole discussion about him and the whole position is quite frankly pathetic given the breadth and importance of issues that rural and regional NSW are confronting at the moment”.
“I don’t think there’s any point recanvassing those sort of issues, the decision’s been made by the minister today and we should all get on and actually focus on the issues that are actually important,” he told the media.
“For me, the issue about the whole Malcolm Turnbull thing is a complete sideshow and I think we need be focused more firmly on keeping the community safe, getting people back to work and rebuilding – certainly from my perspective – rural and regional economies.”
