Vaccinated Australians will need regular booster shots to ward off emerging strains of COVID. A Pfizer study shows the vaccine’s efficacy declined from 96 to 84 per cent, six months after participants received their second dose. The company says vaccine recipients will need a third dose to increase protection against the virus and its Delta strain. Health Minister Greg Hunt suggested top-up vaccines will become regular like seasonal flu jabs.
